Being that my son has a December birthday and we always seem to be tighter on the finances during this month. (don't know if it is due to the holidays or just the cost of all our fall activities) I am challenging myself to throw him a Perfect Pirate Party for only $100. This will be tough in the sense that I have turned into one of those parents who spends hundreds of dollars on birthday parties and then wonders what just happened. SO the goal of $100 has to include food and decor and favors too! Do you think I can do it?
My first move in this game of $100 birthday bash was to send out e-vites to our guests. I have become really fond of my 4x6 invite picture that is loved by many. I did the design still but used it on the e-vite page instead of spending money and time on the printing of the 4x6's. Also saved on postage :)
Only problem here is that many of our guests we would like to invite are not in my e-mail contacts and now I need to make phone calls too!
Zachary's great-grandma has aggreed to make a pirate ship cake for him and that is all he has been talking about for the past month. I found this cake on Familyfun.com
Here is the invitation I created for the party:
SO begins the challenge. Lucky me, i still have a bunch of stuff in garge from the 2 years of Susie and her pirate parties. Hopefully it's all there and still good to use. The rest will be creativity and major budgeting!!! Wish me luck!
